Turn Off Your Liberties

Apparently it is illegal to record law enforcement officers. Apparently, it is illegal to record what people paid by our tax dollars do in public, where everyone can see it already. Several people have been arrested for recording police in a variety of circumstances. Currently, a man in Illinois is facing 75 years in prison for recording police officers on his property. Other examples cited in the video below include public, and even within someones own house. This raises some very serious questions.

  1. Why is it (how can it be) illegal to record something happening in public, or in ones own home?
  2. How can this be happening in America?
  3. What if one has an active surveillance security system in ones home, which inadvertently records any police who come for any reason?
  4. How can citizens protect themselves from corruption if they cannot adequately document events?

Watch the news story below, if it doesn't scare you, consider moving to a police state, like Britain.
